Sort Incoming Donations With Flourish Furniture Bank!

Sort incoming donations! Inspect each donation for quality, including looking for rips, stains, chips, tears, and any other defect. Sorting will often work with other departments including sewing and woodworking to ensure that as many items as possible are kept out of the landfill by repairing, repurposing, or recycling. Sorting also saves donations that Flourish cannot use for partner agencies that can best put those items to use.

Plant Trees at Palmer Park with Heartland Tree Alliance

Join Heartland Tree Alliance to plant trees throughout Kansas City! Trees slow traffic speeds, filter air and water pollutants, and provide shade to cool the rising temperatures in summer. Over time, trees help slow climate change by removing carbon dioxide from the air, storing carbon in the trees and soil, and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere.

When you plant a tree, you leave a legacy for generations to come!

Check out this video to learn what to expect from H tree planting workday!
